Interior Castle
In the Summer of 2014 Interior Castle (Joanna Grennan, England, Emma Fradd, Australia) burst onto the Ottawa music scene playing as many shows as they could, even making their way to Houston, Texas, and recruiting fans after spending a year working on their self titled album, after meeting and forming their band in Canada. They even scored a cheeky play on Australia’s biggest radio station ‘Triple J’ in October of 2014 after getting their track selected from Triple J Unearthed.
Months later, the two moved to England where they continued to build their fanbase, write music and play a string of shows and festivals, including Wychwood Festival that saw Boney M and The Proclaimers headline and a favourite opening slot on two of Khruangbin’s shows in Birmingham.
The band expanded further in the summer of 2015 on a tour that hosted 23 shows across Canada (Including one in Steubenville, Ohio) and a 6 show tour across England in the fall with Luke Concannon and Jimmy Davis.
After 8 years apart, working solo and in other groups (Blue Lupin, Heaps Good Friends) Interior Castle are back with their shoegaze hit ‘Black Box’
